The domestic tourist flow in Russia in 2023 exceeded the figure of 2019

According to preliminary data, the domestic tourist flow amounted to over 75 million people. This was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, in 2022, the tourist flow in the country amounted to 73.1 million people.

"By the end of 2023, we exceeded the figures for the domestic tourist flow of 2019 - the year before the crisis. This is, tentatively, more than 75 million [people]," he said.

According to the targets of the national tourism project, by 2030, the tourist flow in Russia should reach 140 million trips per year. It is planned to increase the number of hotel rooms to 909 thousand, the number of work places to 4.9 million.
